In a truly memorable Champions League Final, Manchester United emerged victorious over Bayern Munich with a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory. The match, which was played at the Camp Nou in Barcelona, was a tale of two halves, with Bayern dominating the first half and United coming out strong in the second.
Bayern took the lead in the 6th minute through Mario Basler, and they looked to be in control for much of the first half. However, United came out with a renewed sense of purpose in the second half, and they equalised in the 81st minute through Teddy Sheringham.
With the match seemingly destined for extra time, United struck again in the 90th minute through Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Solskjær's goal sent the United fans into raptures and secured a dramatic victory for the English side.
